Participants can camp, stay with a home host, choose a bed and breakfast, or stay in a nearby hotel.
Camping
Campers may stay Friday and Saturday nights at Festival Headquarters at the Thomas Hunter Middle School. You'll enjoy being at the heart of all the activities. We'll have live music on site on Friday and dinner for purchase in advance. You can also buy breakfast ahead of time for Saturday morning as well. Campers have access to rest rooms and showers at the school during your stay.

Mayberry's Camping Sherpa Service
For the first time in 2010 we are offering camping rental services. This is a great answer for those who want to camp but might not have all the gear or who might like the luxury of having someone set up camp for you!
Full Camping Services:
Mayberry’s Sherpa Service will provide full camping services, including tent, air mattress, sleeping bag(s), pillow(s) and chair(s). Amenities include shade canopies for customers, towels, morning coffee, air pumps, community ice chests (for Sherpa customers) and cell phone charging.

Mayberry’s Sherpa Service will provide some of their services for those that do not want the full camping package:

Other camping items (tents, air mattresses, etc) will be available as well, just look for Ted in the Sherpa Camp.
Cell phone service, ice water, and Sherpa coolers will not be made available to non-Sherpa Campers.

Home Hosting
The townspeople of Mathews have graciously agreed to open their homes to us. Home Hosting - a wonderful way to experience the local flavor of this charming community. You may stay either Friday, Saturday or both nights with a Home Host.
The Home Hosting Desk will close Friday night at 9:00 pm. If you will be arriving after that time, please make prior arrangements with the Mathews County Visitor & Information Center. (We recommend you have the information with you while traveling in case of a traffic jam causing you to arrive late.)
