“No Frills Rides” – Ride routes not yet experienced like Gwynn’s Island (Gwynn’s Island Museum) or Mobjack (The Poddery)

  • Take a ride with Mathews’ local bike group starting at Liberty Square at 2 p.m. (www.mathewsfreewheelers.org)
  • Visit the Mathews Co. Visitors Center for shopping from the “Made in Mathews” line of items and for gathering information on other scenic sites and activities in Mathews
  • Join Bay Trails Outfitters and go on a guided kayaking tour of the Bay
  • Enjoy fresh local seafood and other delicious treats at Mathews’ numerous restaurants in town and beyond
  • Browse local shops in the village open from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and peruse the Mathews Heritage Photo Exhibit at each shop (bike parking available)
  • Worship at one of Mathews’ numerous churches (www.visitmathews.com/Directories/churches.htm)
