Volunteers

Plans are underway to hold the Tour de Chesapeake (TdC) once again in 2008. In partnership with Mathews County, BikeWalk Virginia will plan, organize and direct the TdC on the weekend of May 16-18, 2008. When the inaugural TdC began in 1997, it was the support of our volunteers that made the TdC a great event, and it will be the support of our volunteers that will make the TdC a great event once again.

We invite you to join the Tour de Chesapeake Volunteer Team! Over 25 volunteers are needed to make the Tour de Chesapeake a success this year. This is not counting over 100 volunteers from Mathews during the tour.

Volunteers are the heart and soul of the Tour de Chesapeake. Non-profits only exist through their dedicated volunteers. If you would like to help others, work with a team toward accomplishing set tasks, and have fun at the same time then you’re a volunteer candidate.
